MUTUAL FUNDS

Follow these helpful tips to help narrow down your mutual fund search.
1. What is a Mutual Fund Symbol?
Every Mutual Fund, like stocks, has a unique symbol that is used by the trading systems.

2. What is a Mutual Fund Name?
This is the common name given by the Fund Company. These names usually include some description of what type of stock is held in that fund.

3. What is a Fund Company Name?
This is the name of the company that manages the fund.

4. Text typed into an input boxes (Symbol, Fund Name, or Company Name) will be used to perform a "CONTAINS" search. For example, if you type the characters "AAA" into the input box labeled "Mutual Fund Symbol Contains" you will get these results.
If you type the words "Diversified Income Fund" into the input box labeled "Mutual Fund Name Contains" you will get these results.

5. If you enter text into more than one of the three input boxes, the results will include only mutual funds that have all the criteria. For example, if you type the characters "AAA" in the input box labeled "Mutual Fund Symbol Contains" and you also enter the words "Centy" into the input box labeled "Mutual Fund Name Contains", you will get these results.

6. Some of the names of the Mutual Funds are too long so we abbreviate them. Here is a list of the most common abbreviations.

  • EQTY - Equity
  • FD - Fund
  • FDS - Funds
  • GOVT - Government
